You are interested in technology, want to understand how apps are built — and are ready to really commit. If you have already written some code, even better.

In this programme you learn how to build real mobile apps — for iPhone and Android simultaneously. One codebase, two platforms. With React Native you develop apps like the professionals behind the ones you use every day.

What to expect

You build a real app — not some tutorial project. At the end of the programme you have a complete, deployed mobile app that runs on iOS and Android. You can include it in applications, show it to friends or develop it further directly.

You work with AI tools — from day one. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude — modern developers use these tools every day. You learn how to work faster and smarter with them without letting them do your thinking for you.

Three real team challenges. No fictitious practice project: you work with your group on real challenges where you deliver something measurable. That makes the difference on your CV.

Your qualification carries weight. The programme runs in cooperation with FH Carinthia — you graduate with 30 ECTS that you can have credited.

What you learn

You start from scratch: how code works, how apps are structured, what happens behind the scenes. Then it goes deeper step by step — JavaScript, React as a foundation, then React Native for mobile. Camera, GPS, push notifications, App Store deployment — all included.

The focus of this semester: React Native & Mobile App Development — one app, iOS and Android, ready to publish.

Mon–Thu 08:00–16:00, Fri 08:00–13:00. Online, with self-study elements.
